How it works
Coupe du Monde 2026
The scoring is the same across the whole site. Here is how to score points, with concrete examples: you do not need to be a football expert.
Rules written on June 3, 2026. Rules added along the way carry the date they were added.
How your points are calculated
For each match: (base points + bonuses) × round multiplier × joker. Then the automatic side bets are added.
The joker and the round multiplier do NOT apply to the automatic side bets (they are worth +1 each, counted separately).
You predict 2-1, the final score is 2-1.
- Exact score + win : 9
- Automatic side bets: +2 (you had "over 2.5 goals" and "both teams score", both correct, +1 each)
Total: 11 pts
You predict 1-1, the final score is 1-1. You had also called the correct half-time winner, and you had played a ×2 joker on this match.
- Exact score + draw : 11
- Correct half-time winner: +2
- Joker: ×2 on the match total
- Automatic side bets: +2 (you had "under 2.5 goals" and "both teams score", both correct, +1 each)
Total: 28 pts
You predict 2-0, the final score is 3-1 (and you picked the right qualifying team).
- Right result (win), wrong score : 5
- Correct qualifying team: +3
- Round multiplier: ×3
- Automatic side bets: +0 here (you had predicted under 2.5 goals and one team to nil, but the match had more goals with both teams scoring)
Total: 24 pts
How to play
- Before the contest deadline: place your tournament predictions (champion, both finalists, top scorer).
- Before each match: enter your score. On group-stage matches you feel sure about, consider playing a joker.
- During the tournament: follow the standings, the vibe and others' predictions (visible once matches kick off).
Points per match (based on the score at 90 minutes)
| Exact score + draw | 11 pts |
| Exact score + win | 9 pts |
| Right result (draw), wrong score | 7 pts |
| Right result (win), wrong score | 5 pts |
| Result missed | 0 pts |
Note: an exact draw pays slightly more than an exact win.
Bonus
- Right winner at half-time: +2
- Right team to go through (knockout matches, from the round of 32): +3
👑 Perfect King (added on June 10, 2026)
A Perfect = exact score + right half-time winner (+ in knockout matches, from the round of 32, the right team to go through to the next round). Tip: if your exact score is right, the two small bets (over/under 2.5 goals and both teams to score) are won automatically! At the end of the tournament, whoever has the most Perfects in the contest is crowned Perfect King and earns +10 points; the runner-up earns +5. In case of a tie, the bonus is NOT split: all players tied for the most Perfects are Kings and each earns the full King bonus, and all players tied just behind are runners-up and each earns the full runner-up bonus. Everyone's Perfect count is shown in the standings throughout the tournament.
In the global leaderboard (all contests combined), Perfects are shown but earn no points: this bonus only exists inside each contest.
🃏 Jokers (group stage)
You get 3 ×2 jokers and 2 ×3 jokers for the whole group stage. Place them on the matches of your choice, before kick-off.
- 3 ×2 jokers: double the match's total points (score + half-time).
- 2 ×3 jokers: triple the match's total points.
A joker placed on a match that has already started is locked. Remove it before kick-off to get your credit back. The small auto bets (over/under 2.5, BTTS) are not multiplied.
Round multiplier
| Group stage | x1 |
| Round of 32 | x1.5 |
| Round of 16 | x2 |
| Quarter-finals | x2.5 |
| Semi-finals | x3 |
| Third place | x3 |
| Final | x4 |
| league_phase | x1 |
| playoff | x1.5 |
A match's points = (score + half-time + qualified) × round multiplier × your joker (×2 or ×3, group stage). The automatic bonuses (over/under 2.5; both teams score) are added AFTER and are NEVER multiplied.
Automatic bonuses (computed on their own from your score)
- Over / Under 2.5 goals correctly called: +1
- Both teams to score (yes/no) correctly called: +1
You don't enter anything extra: these little bonuses are derived from your predicted score (you scrape up points even when the exact score eludes you). Unlike match points, they are NEVER multiplied by jokers or stage multipliers.
Tournament predictions
- Correct champion: +60
- Each correct finalist: +30 (order doesn't matter)
- Both finalists correct: +6 extra bonus (added on June 4, 2026)
- Your scorer: +5 for every goal he scores in the tournament (e.g. 8 goals = 40 pts). It does not have to be the top scorer: YOUR scorer earns you points.
- Penalty: if the scorer you named ends the tournament with 0 goals: −5 (added on June 6, 2026)
Clarification added on July 17, 2026: the penalty is applied as soon as your scorer can mathematically no longer score, that is, as soon as his team has no matches left to play. A team beaten in the semi-final still plays the third-place match: its scorer can keep scoring until then.
Locked at the tournament's first kick-off. Conviction stacks: champion + finalist on the same team, both count.
⏱️ Late-entry contests
When creating a contest, the organiser can allow late entry: you can then join (or create) a contest even after the tournament has kicked off, throughout the group stage. Handy for people who discover the site late.
- Matches already played before you joined do not count for you in this contest (you cannot bet on them).
- Your predictions are shared across all your contests; in a late-entry contest, only points earned from your arrival onward count.
- The organiser sets an entry deadline (a group-stage matchday). It locks as soon as the contest reaches 5 members or at the next match kickoff: it cannot be pushed back afterwards.
- Tournament predictions (champion, finalist, top scorer) stay open until the contest deadline, but only pay out for events after you joined.
⚖️ In case of a points tie New
Ranking is by points. If players finish on the same number of points at the end of a competition, the handling depends on the competition.
World Cup 2026 and Tour de France 2026: no tiebreaker
Players tied on points share the SAME place and the same podium step. In a stakes group they receive exactly the SAME percentage: the shares of their places are added up and split equally. Why? These competitions were already well under way when the tiebreaker rule was written, on 14 July 2026. Out of fairness, we do not change the rules mid-way, let alone while already knowing part of the results.
Following competitions: a tiebreaker announced in advance
From the next competitions (Champions League, Vuelta, etc.), announced BEFORE their first match, a tiebreaker applies when players are level on points:
- Football: most perfects first, then most matchdays in the lead, then most matchdays won.
- Cycling: most stages in the lead first, then most stages won (there is no "perfect" in cycling).
If all these criteria are identical too, the tie is perfect and the players share the same podium step.
This tiebreaker rule was published on 14 July 2026 and applies to competitions starting AFTER that date, the same way for everyone. It therefore does not apply to the World Cup 2026 or the Tour de France 2026, already under way: a deliberate choice of fairness towards players.
🍺 Stakes groups: ScoreMigos handles no money
ScoreMigos is a 100% free prediction game between friends. The site manages, receives and redistributes NO money. A "stake" is decided freely among yourselves, off the site: for example a round of drinks, a shared meal, a small gift or a coffee. ScoreMigos only offers an indicative percentage, for information, to help you split your stake if you wish. In case of a tie, that percentage is simply recalculated so that tied players receive the same share. What you decide among yourselves is none of our business and does not bind us in any way.
Golden rules
- Lock: from a match's kick-off, your prediction is locked. The server time (UTC) is authoritative.
- Visibility: by default, your predictions stay hidden from others until each match's kick-off. You can make them always visible in your profile.
